Which programme to choose according to your level of entry?

At Excelia Business School, choosing a programme is based first on your level of entry: after the baccalaureate, after a preparatory class or a Bac+2/3 (BTS, BUT, Licence), after a Bac+5, or partway through a career. It is this criterion, ahead of the name of a programme, that should guide your decision.

• After the baccalaureate: a three- to five-year path, depending on the level of qualification you are aiming for
• After a preparatory class, a BTS, a BUT or a Licence, once completed: direct admission, which also leads to Bac+5
• After a Bac+5: continuing your studies at doctoral level, to deepen managerial expertise
• In employment: programmes designed to fit around a job, without interrupting your professional path

After the baccalaureate, after a prépa or a Bac+2/3, or after a Bac+5, you join one of our programmes. Only those already in employment follow a different route, that of the Executive Education Centre, designed for a different pace of life. This level of entry already narrows the choice considerably, but it does not decide it alone: it is then your own plan that decides, and each programme's page lets you check this.

Student pathways, from Bachelor to Doctorate

These student pathways at Excelia Business School cover four levels: the Bachelor, the Master in Management (Programme Grande École), the Master of Science (MSc) and the Doctorate. Each corresponds to a different stage in a journey, from the first post-baccalaureate qualification to doctoral expertise.

The Bachelor in Business is completed over three years, the BBA International over four. The Master in Management and the Master of Science (MSc) programmes both aim for Bac+5, but they follow a different logic: the Master in Management builds a generalist foundation in management, while the Master of Science (MSc) programmes let you deepen a more specialised expertise. The Master in Management also stands out for its two entry routes: directly after the baccalaureate, like the Bachelor in Business and the BBA International, or after a preparatory class, a BTS, a BUT or a Licence, once completed. Both routes lead to the same qualification, a Bac+5.

Across all these programmes, Excelia Business School builds its professionalisation through internships, work-study and employability, and completes it with the international dimension of our programmes. This professionalisation continues after graduation: discover the career outcomes of our graduates.

Continuing education and Executive Education

Excelia Business School also offers programmes for people already in employment, brought together within its Executive Education Centre.

These programmes follow a different logic from our student pathways: they are aimed at professionals who want to return to education without interrupting their career, whether to upskill or to change direction. The formats are organised accordingly, designed to fit around a job rather than a full-time student timetable.

Degrees recognised by the State

The Bachelor in Business and the BBA International are State-accredited and lead to a Grade de Licence; the Master in Management and the Master of Science (MSc) programmes are State-accredited and lead to a Grade de Master. You will find the RNCP detail, programme by programme, on our page our degrees recognised by the State.

Excelia Business School also holds a quadruple accreditation (EQUIS, AACSB, AMBA and EFMD Master), a mark of academic quality recognised internationally: find the detail of our accreditations.

To go further in choosing a specific programme, request the brochure for the programme that matches your level: it details the content, admissions and timetable.

Which programme should you take after the baccalaureate at Excelia Business School?

After the baccalaureate, you can join the Bachelor in Business (three years), the BBA International (four years) or the Master in Management, accessible directly after the baccalaureate and leading to Bac+5. The choice mainly depends on the pace and the level of qualification you are aiming for at the end.

What is the difference between a Bachelor and the Master in Management?

The Bachelor in Business is completed over three years, the BBA International over four: both form a first level of post-baccalaureate qualification. The Master in Management, meanwhile, is completed over five years and aims for a higher level on graduation. These programmes therefore come neither at the same point in a journey, nor at the same level.

Yes. Excelia Business School's Master in Management is accessible either directly after the baccalaureate or after a preparatory class, a BTS, a BUT or a Licence, once completed: both routes lead to the same qualification, a Bac+5.
