Employability support – a professional's perspective to boost my CV and LinkedIn

“I had the chance to take part in a module offered by Excelia's Talent Centre: Tremplin Alternance.”

Adventure story

Personalised support

Last week, I had the chance to take part in a module offered by Excelia's Talent Centre: Tremplin Alternance. A key moment in my search for a work-study placement, where I was able to revisit the essential points of my approach: from defining my project to preparing for interviews, via the search for opportunities. Although I was already well informed, I discovered concrete, practical tips to go further.

But what really made the difference? The final interview with a professional from the sector. I had the privilege of talking with Aurélie Hervet, an expert who took the time to understand my objectives and challenges. Thanks to her outside, supportive perspective, I was able to get valuable feedback on my CV and my LinkedIn profile.

Putting it into practice

The key points that came out of it:

  • My approach is well oriented, I just need the right opportunity
  • My energy and my passion are strengths, but they weren't visible enough in my materials

On her advice, I reworked my CV and my LinkedIn profile so that they fully reflect my personality and my enthusiasm.

Thanks to this support, I am now ready to face new opportunities… and who knows, perhaps this optimisation will open the doors of companies that match my aspirations!

Mattéo Thibault is a student on the Master in Management (Programme Grande École) at Excelia Business School and is looking for a work-study placement. It was in this context that he took a Talent Centre module devoted to the search for a work-study placement, concluded by an interview with a professional from the sector. This one-to-one support is part of a wider approach, since the Talent Centre's support follows students throughout their studies: from the CV to the LinkedIn profile, via the pitch, interviews, internships and work-study at Excelia Business School, so that they arrive prepared to face recruiters. You can discover the other testimonials from students and graduates of the Master in Management, to see, through other journeys, what this support concretely changes when it comes to looking for a company.
