Biographie

Marine L’Hostis holds a doctorate in geography from the University of Angers. In 2020, she defended her thesis entitled “The diffusion of Chinese tourism in France – Influence of representations and spatial capital”, which analyzes the processes through which Chinese tourists choose new destinations as they further explore the French territory beyond the capital. In addition to the spatial dimension of diffusion, her research also focuses on its social dimension, by studying how the Chinese society develops tourist practices, both from an individual and collective point of view.

Her research topics also include accessible tourism, with a specific interest in the accessibility of festivals.

After teaching at ESTHUA (University of Angers), Marine L’Hostis joined Excelia Business School in 2023 as an assistant professor. In addition to her teaching and research activities, she is responsible for coordinating and leading tourism research within the school.
