Know yourself to manage better

Know yourself to manage better

Overview

The Know yourself to manage better course is a two-day training in self-awareness, aimed at managers and supervisors. Your organisation commissions it from Excelia Business School's Executive Education Centre, in-company and on quotation. It draws on the Process Communication Model® (PCM), which makes it possible to understand personalities better and to adapt your management.

Why choose the Know yourself to manage better course?

Because it starts with you. By discovering your own PCM profile, you understand where your communication reflexes come from, then you learn to make use of them in your management to improve communication, motivation and the management of your teams.

The PCM then provides the key to reading other people: recognising each person's personality allows you to adapt your way of managing to their needs, and to strengthen both your interpersonal impact and your managerial stance.

What self-awareness changes in your team

Once your profile is identified, your communication adjusts to each team member, based on what you know about your own way of functioning. Motivation is mobilised rather than decreed, and you approach tense situations better able to read what is going on in the other person.

Two days to leave with operational levers

Face-to-face, you alternate between practical workshops and concrete practical scenarios, then you build your personalised action plan. You leave with this plan to develop your management, boost collective performance and deploy smoother and more constructive communication. In addition, our article on the main management styles offers a first reference point to place your style.

The skills targeted

The course aims to:

  • identify your PCM profile
  • decode the different personality types
  • adjust your managerial style
  • meet the psychological needs of your team members
  • mobilise motivation and energise your teams
  • anticipate tense situations and establish a harmonious working climate

To work in more detail on team leadership and meetings, Excelia Business School also offers a course on leading your team and running effective meetings.
