Programme Grande Ecole - Excelia Business School

Master in Management - prépa entry

Bachelor (5 years of higher education)

Presentation

Joining the Master in Management (Programme Grande École) after a prépa or a Bac+2

After two years of prépa or a Bac+2, Excelia Business School's Master in Management welcomes you directly into Year 3, the first of the three years that lead to the Bac+5 degree. This degree is identical whichever year you enter: State-accredited, and therefore officially recognised by the Ministry of Higher Education, it leads to the Grade de Master. Excelia Business School is also one of the fewer than 1% of business schools worldwide to hold four international accreditations, EQUIS, AACSB, AMBA and EFMD Master: this is what is known as the quadruple accreditation.

Two routes lead to this Year 3. If you are coming out of an ECG, ECT, B/L or A/L prépa class, you take the BCE entrance exam (Banque commune d'épreuves). With a Bac+2, you apply on the basis of your file and then attend a motivation interview: the application stages are further down this page.

Three years, from Year 3 to the Master

Year 3 lays the foundations of management and the humanities, in La Rochelle or Paris-Cachan, in French or in English, and takes you from a Humacité© mission abroad to a three-month operational internship. The Master cycle follows, in La Rochelle, Paris-Cachan or Tours: M1 consolidates what you have learnt and prepares your specialisation, then M2 specialises you, either by going deeper into a field of management in a major, or by aiming for two degrees at once, that of the Master in Management and that of a Master of Science. Discover the majors and double degrees on offer.

The prépa students with the best rankings in the BCE written papers can apply for the excellence scholarship for prépa students, presented in the Cost of studies tab.

FAQs

How do you enter Year 3 of the Master in Management (Programme Grande École) after a prépa?

You then enter Year 3, like prépa students, for the same State-accredited degree that leads to the Grade de Master. The application stages are further down this page, and our article on direct entry to business school explains the principle.

Where does Year 3 take place after a prépa or a Bac+2?

Year 3 is taken in La Rochelle or Paris-Cachan, in a French-language or English-language pathway. In the Master cycle, the classic M1 takes place in La Rochelle, Paris-Cachan or Tours.

Can you take these three years on a work-study basis?

Year 3 is full-time, and work-study becomes possible from M1, over 24 months, or over 12 months in the final year. Your employer then covers the tuition fees; for the details, see work-study at Excelia Business School.

Can you go abroad when entering in Year 3?

Yes, from Year 3, with the Humacité© mission abroad. In M1, you can also spend one or two semesters at a partner university, on a double degree, then, in M2, take an international double degree.
